Troy Atlas is a dedicated and motivating executive with 30 years of industry experience in sales management, operations and consulting. He believes the combination of design, business intelligence, and process engineering can drive results in any business. In his role as President of Stonehill, Troy is entrusted with driving the firm’s initiatives and managing its growth strategy. Troy enjoys working with select clients to help them use Design Thinking to innovate and create competitive differentiation.
Prior to joining Stonehill, Troy was Managing Director, Senior Vice President of Wealth Management and Branch Complex Manager of Raymond James' Metro Tampa branches. His responsibilities included developing and executing business growth initiatives; recruiting and retaining experienced financial advisors; hiring and mentoring new financial advisors; managing advisor teams, operations personnel and client service staff; and overseeing the operations, compliance and administration for a branch complex responsible for over $2.75 Billion in client assets. Troy’s background also includes roles in both management and marketing with AIG SunAmerica and Heritage Asset Management. Prior to joining the financial services sector, he served as an information systems auditor and consultant with Deloitte & Touche.
Troy has been committed to giving back to the community for many years. He currently serves on Straz Center for the Performing Arts' Board of Trustees, on St Joseph's Hospitals Foundation’s Board of Directors, on Outback Bowl's Board of Directors, and as Former Chairman of Opera Tampa League’s Board of Directors. Additionally, he is a member of CEO Council of Tampa Bay, University of Florida Foundation's Regional Advisory Council and Tampa Yacht and Country Club. In prior years, he served as Chairman of Leadership Tampa Alumni's Cabinet, on Tampa Yacht and County Club’s Board of Governors, on University of Tampa Board of Fellows Steering Committee, Tampa Gator Club Board of Directors and as an Honorary Deputy of Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Troy is also a graduate of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Tampa program, class of 2007.
Troy earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accounting degrees from the University of Florida. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School; has completed studies as part of the Entrepreneurship Specialization, also offered by the Wharton School; and holds a certificate in Design Thinking for Innovation from University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Though no longer in public practice, Troy is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida. He has also passed licensure exams for FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 31 and 63.
